Cheese-affineer in Annecy since 1969, Alain Michel offers a rigorous selection of raw-milk cheeses, as well as house specialities, delicatessen and wines for a gourmet cheese experience.

The first Alain Michel crèmerie, La Crèmerie du Lac, opened in the heart of Annecy in 1969. A family-run local creamery, it welcomes regulars and tourists alike. Its unique asset is its proximity to a cheese-ageing cellar dug into the rocky bar at the foot of the Semnoz in 1870. Thanks to its natural humidity and constant temperature of 12°C, this cellar offers ideal conditions for maturing tommes, bleus, Abondance, Beaufort and many other marvels.

Your provider

Alain Michel, fourth generation of the family, fell into cheese at a very early age.
As a child, he would turn cheeses in the cellar alongside his father, curious and passionate.
But before taking over the crèmerie, Alain followed another path: that of gastronomy and catering, his first passion.
A former restaurateur, for fifteen years he ran two establishments specializing in local dishes: La Table du Berger, in La Clusaz, at the foot of the slopes, and La Mège, a restaurant on the shores of Lake Annecy.
These years gave him a taste for conviviality, sharing and fine cuisine. When he took over La Crèmerie du Lac more than twenty years ago, he rediscovered the same adrenalin in maturing: that of the right gesture, the living product and the pleasure of passing on. His desire to perpetuate the family business and the refining know-how he learned from his father has now led him to set up eight crèmeries in Annecy and Haute-Savoie.

Una delle nostre principali iniziative è l'introduzione di un sistema di selezione selettiva all'interno della nostra azienda, mirato in particolare a materiali come plastica e cartone.
Allo stesso tempo, abbiamo introdotto un sistema paperless per i nostri processi interni, riducendo in modo significativo l'uso della carta. Questa transizione verso la tecnologia digitale fa parte del nostro sforzo di modernizzazione, riducendo al minimo l'impatto sulle risorse naturali.
Nello stesso spirito, abbiamo ripensato il nostro packaging, privilegiando l'uso di materiali riciclati. Di conseguenza, i nostri prodotti sono ora confezionati in imballaggi ecologici. Accettiamo anche i contenitori dei nostri clienti per limitare la quantità di imballaggi distribuiti.
