On the move with Annecy Bouge

A media spurring Annecy locals to have fun and get moving

Annecy now has its very own 100% local media to shake things up: Annecy Bouge, created by the communications agency Bim Agency.

Its goal is to show the city in a different light beyond the usual clichés, making it a place that Annecy locals want to explore by revealing hidden gems, sharing staff favorites, and telling exciting stories about the city,

What is their core mission? To get locals excited about their home town… and visitors as well.

Annecy Bouge

Behind this media spreading the good word about every aspect of Annecy, several unique forces have come together:

  • Bim Agency provides web and branding expertise,
  • Annecy Bouge is the communications agency that runs the media,
  • Annecy Bouge fait Tilt is the print magazine launched just a little over two years ago (eight issues so far!); they developed the digital version last year.

Among the latest recruits – the team already includes a dozen or so people – is Léa Deglesne, who enthusiastically takes us on a behind-the-scenes tour of this media that has trouble sitting still.

Ambassador for Lake Annecy over the past year and a half, she and her boyfriend Steven form the duo behind Un Monde, Deux Dindes (One World, Two Turkeys), an Instagram account with more than 48,000 followers. There, they share their favorite places, activities, and inspiring outdoor adventures.

Three years ago, Léa decided to make a major life change. Parisian by birth and nurse by trade, she chose to step away from the hospital to fully embrace her true passion: telling stories and showcasing her new, extraordinary, adopted home. Born with a camera in hand and always eager for original experiences, she has, in just a few years, built a genuine community around a lifestyle that blends nature, great cuisine, and the art of living.

At Annecy Bouge, she provides her keen photographer’s eye, her authentic writing style, and solid experience in content creation, all with one goal in mind: (re)introduce Annecy to the locals through a vibrant and inspiring point of view.

“We produce 100% local content, all focused on Annecy and the surrounding area. We talk about everything that inspires us: activities to try, restaurants we love to eat at, the latest news about the area, outdoor sports, local culture… And when something is really worth a local’s time, we also venture to nearby places like La Clusaz or even Chamonix. What’s amazing is that we have a very dedicated local community who enjoys discovering these new experiences with us. And we love uncovering hidden gems, talking about Annecy in a different light, and making sure that people who live here enjoy the area as much as those who come to visit.”

“And this is just the beginning of the adventure,” says Léa.

“We wanted to take it one step further, so right now we’re working on a new website. The idea is to make it a true meeting place for everyone who loves Annecy: there will be exclusive e-books – guidebooks written as much for curious tourists as for Annecy locals looking for an alternative way to explore their city. We are pouring our hearts into it with the aim of launching the website by the end of summer 2025. Since we have a hard time sitting still, we also have “Genève Bouge” (Geneva on the Move) in the works. We really love the idea: creating a media for French people living in Geneva by exploring the greater area, from Annemasse to Saint-Julien and Bellegarde. A new adventure that we just can’t wait to share, which should launch by the end of 2025. In short, we have plans to continue to shake things up.”

Behind Annecy Bouge is a highly-talented, well-organized team. Every project comes to life thanks to everyone’s dedicated involvement: choosing topics, filming, editing, voiceovers, publications, and monitoring media coverage.

What is a typical day for Léa?

There is not one. Like the rest of the team, her days overflow with the effervescence of a media outlet constantly on the move: creative brainstorming sessions, interviews in the field, express editing to publish fresh news, or simply a chance to enjoy a discussion with the community. A daily routine filled with unexpected surprises, passion, and a constant flow of new ideas. Read all about it in print, on their website, or through social media.
