Description
Born in Normandy, Géraldine Maurier, a visual artist who moved to her studio on the island of the former prisons in 2015, takes advantage of this wonderful setting to transcribe all the beauty of the Annécien basin.
I've been painting for over 30 years, exploring various techniques: watercolor, including views of Annecy, oil pastel, oil paint and pencil. But it's with acrylics that I blossom most, and which has enabled me to find my own rhythmic, enthusiastic style.
Working with a knife, my balloons, flowers, figures and landscapes take on a very special dimension, creating paintings that reflect my cheerful, generous personality.
I explore all the facets of Annecy and its surroundings, painting the landscapes around the lake, the trees, the surrounding forests, the old town and its canals, the lake fauna, with the varieties of lake fish surrounded by more exotic flora, and the bathers you see on sunny days... always with lots of color and pictorial generosity.

I was born in Normandy and moved to Annecy in 1991. I studied in Lyon, where I obtained a diploma in plastic and applied arts.
Since then, I've never left Annecy in my professional life, with a store selling fine art equipment and picture framing where I learned the framing trade. Then, in 2015, I opened a small boutique at the foot of the Palais de l'Ile, which became my boutique workshop and enabled me to explore, create, exchange, progress and blossom in an environment more than conducive to inspiration and creation.
Since then, I've continued to fill this little square with my ever-changing colors and creations, much to the delight of the people of Annecy who pass by every day, as well as tourists visiting our region.
Gestures for the environment
My boutique studio is located in the heart of the old town. I exhibit my paintings, which are produced in Annecy or Saint Jorioz, according to my desires.
I also have a range of products derived from my creations that I work with local companies, such as postcards, tote bags, fabric pouches, eyeglass wipes and others.
