Description
Come and make an object or a piece of pottery with your own hands and clay. Alone or in a group, take part in an unexpected interlude where the dialogue with clay can be heard in this cultural and artistic atmosphere.
The Ceramics Workshop offers modelling, sculpture and throwing for children, adults and senior citizens in 3 different workshops:
- Creative workshop (modelling, plate) individual/group - duration 2h - 45€.
- Party / birthday creative workshop: number of participants: please contact us.
Express your creativity - Creation of an object close to your heart (feasibility study) or proposal (2-piece bathroom set, Venetian mask, bowl (2) or goblet (2) or dish (2). Firing included - recovery of the piece 1 month (shipping possible, see conditions).
- Parent/child workshop - duration 2 hours - €50 per duo + €10 additional child. Discover ceramics with your child and share a moment of creativity. Depending on the child's age, we'll suggest an adapted creation. Modelling, stamping, slab, slip board. Firing included - recovery of the piece 1 month (shipping possible, see conditions).
- Introduction to throwing - 2 hours - 75€ - 2 participants max.
Discover the tactile and technical approach to clay - Creation of a bowl or goblet or dish (max. 2/pers) - firing included - glazing + 5€ - recovery of the piece 1 month (shipping possible, see conditions).
On request, courses can be organised over several days.
Your provider
After many years of a life rich in professional experience and encounters at all levels, it was Catherine's desire to return to her roots, and to her initial higher education in the plastic arts and art sciences, that led her to open a studio and propose artistic activities essentially focused on ceramics, for which she is trained and qualified.
Gestures for the environment
L'Atelier recycles its clay (stoneware and porcelain) and manufactures its own glazes based on non-toxic natural oxides.
