With a recreational vehicle

To make your stay in the Lake Annecy area easier, we have put together some useful information to help you spend a few hours, or even one or two nights, in your recreational vehicle, motorhome or campervan.

 

Service areas

  • Annecy : Avenue des Marquisats – 74000 Annecy. 10 concrete pitches. Waste disposal and water: free facilities (not available in winter). Limited to 24 hours.
    A smart way to get around the city centre and the Old Town: 10 minutes on foot and 2–3 minutes by bike

  • Lathuile : Les Hirondelles Motorhome Site – 190 route de la Porte – Bout du Lac – 74210 Lathuile. Telephone: +33 (0)6 87 65 39 64. Email: leshirondellesdulac@gmail.com. Open: 1 April to 31 October. Payment methods: credit card – payment via machine.
    Getting there: “Bout-du-Lac” bus stop, Y51 Albertville/Annecy route (50 mins)
  • Doussard : Service area – Motorhome stopover – Route d’Annecy – 74210 Doussard. Telephone: +33 (0)4 50 44 30 45. Email: mairie.doussard@wanadoo.fr. Opening dates: 1 April to 15 November. Free access in April, October and November.
    Getting there: “Bout-du-Lac” bus stop, Y51 Albertville/Annecy route (50 mins).

 

Free car parks

Consider using park-and-ride facilities outside the city, then take the bus into Annecy city centre: all the information you need: all the information you need.

  • Annecy-le-Vieux : Avenue du Petit Port – 74940 Annecy. Free. Open only in winter: 1 November to 30 March (no parking from 1 April to 31 October). A 15- to 20-minute walk to the historic centre along the lakeside.
  • Saint-Jorioz : 3 route du Laudon (behind Jean-Monnet Secondary School) – 74410 Saint-Jorioz. Free. Open all year round. Maximum 10 spaces. Limited to 24 hours. Surroundings: 250 metres from the town centre, with a Super U supermarket, a bakery, a newsagent and banks (cash withdrawals).
    Getting around: a 10-minute cycle ride down to the lake towards the beach and the jetty. Bus to Annecy, line 15 A-B SIBRA – “Collège” bus stop.
  • Villaz : cemetery car park – 100 chemin des Cruets – 74370 Villaz.Open all year round. Maximum capacity: 10. Overnight stays available. Surroundings: close to the village centre and its shops, drinking water available nearby, waste disposal point 500 metres away (public toilets under the Town Hall), shaded site.
    Travel smart: bus routes 81 & 82 to Annecy SIBRA.

Bornes Flot Bleu

Service areas offering grey water and black water disposal, and water supply: all the information you need.

  • Duingt : Opposite Les Champs Fleuris campsite – 631 Voie Romaine – 74410 Duingt. Water, waste disposal (charge applies), 2-hour car park. Closed in winter (when there is no frost). No overnight stays (except at the campsite).

You could also choose one of the campsites on Lake Annecy. Please note that none of the campsites are open in winter.

In winter, you can check out the winter caravan campsites in the resorts. The two closest to our destination, Lake Annecy, are in the Aravis.
