This family-friendly country walk starts at Place de l'Eglise in Vieugy and reveals the biodiversity of the Lesse and Mathonex marshes.
These protected natural spaces are home to a host of wildlife including some remarkable butterflies, dragonflies and other insects.
Through the seasons you can contemplate a wide variety of plant life, including orchids, the pretty marsh grass of Parnassus, marsh marigolds and buckbean.
These wetlands are currently under the protection of the Asters association (Haute Savoie natural space conservatory).
Accessible in spring, summer or autumn, this tranquil path is ideal for hikers, mountain bikers and horse riders.
The departure point for this hike can be reached by public transport from Annecy centre. This is an ideal path for families, through forest, across meadows and into some picturesque villages !
