Description
It's a loop steeped in history, and it's a great way to cross the famous Plateau des Glières, a mecca for the Resistance and the Tour de France, with its gravelled mountain pasture track. So get your Gravels, get set, go!
Points of interest
The short but beautiful gravel section in the Glières mountain pastures rewards the efforts made on the ascent of this out-of-the-ordinary pass. Don't miss the emblematic memorial erected by architect Émile Gilioli.
Cycling advice
Take care on the descent after Les Glières: the road is comfortable, but many vehicles climb up to the Plateau every day.
