Chavanod

Composed of hamlets spread over the whole of its territory, one can observe the castle of Chavaroche (only the period tower is still visible) or that of Maclamod (fortified houses from the Middle Ages), today transformed into dwellings. Beautiful walks between forests, fields and along the river Fier are to be discovered like the one going from Chavanod to the Gorges du Fier in Lovagny (great geological curiosity of the Alps).
