Situated at an altitude of 399 m, at the foot of the Semnoz and on the banks of the Chéran river, an unmissable fishing spot, this charming little town, the former Savoyard capital of shoemaking, invites you to stroll through its medieval streets. The cobbler’s museum and the Ciergerie Blanchet are relics of the craftsmanship of the Albanais. Don’t forget the Notre-Dame de Plaimpalais church and its remarkable stained glass windows created by Alfred Manessier.
