Description
Alby-sur-Chéran is a village between Annecy and Aix-les-Bains. Nestled at the foot of the Semnoz mountain and at the entrance to the Bauges Mountains.
Come and explore the medieval village with covered pedestrian streets and colourful houses. The river Chéran, one of the last remaining wild rivers of France, runs through the village and is very popular for fishing, canoeing and walks. At the Musée de la Cordonnerie, journey into the ancient arts and crafts that left their mark on the village's history, and go on a tour of the Notre-Dame de Plaimpalais church to discover contemporary architecture by Maurice Novarina and the magnificent stained-glass windows by Alfred Manessier.
