Snowshoes Day - Escape
Summary
COLLECTIVE OUTING: departures are guaranteed with a minimum of 5 participants reserved. Groups will be formed with a maximum of 10 people / 1 guide. You will be kept informed of the situation by email (confirmed departure, proposal for other slots or refund).
Voucher valid for a day's snowshoeing outing. The Glières plateau is a hotbed of French resistance during the Second World War where many resistance fighters took refuge during the winter of 1944 while waiting to receive airdrops from weapons from allies. From a topographic point of view, it is a magnificent plateau located at 1400m, dotted with spruce forest and meadows, which in certain aspects resembles the great expanses of Canada. This valley configuration allows for better snow conservation and ensures that we can make our tracks in good quality snow for the majority of the winter. The area is wild and preserved because it is far from the alpine ski resorts. The only ski activity practiced on the plateau is cross-country skiing. It is therefore a snowshoe paradise because the possibilities for going off-trail are numerous and the terrain is perfectly adapted. So you will have a much greater chance of encountering animal tracks that your guide will teach you to recognize and who knows maybe it will be a wolf!
