Summary

Day dedicated to organizing an avalanche rescue and in particular to learning how to use your individual rescue kit, consisting of a DVA (Avalanche Victim Detector), a shovel and a probe.

This training is open to skiers (hiking, off-piste, freeride...) and snowshoers. The practical site, easy and quick to access, will be specified to you. The day will start around a coffee in order to get to know each other and provide you with theoretical knowledge. DVA module 1: Principle of operation of DVA devices (tests and demonstrations), simple practical exercises (single-victim), use of the probe and shovel (when, how) and information on the research protocol. DVA module 2*: (*DVA 1 prerequisite) Practical exercises with multiple victims, complex situations, overall rescue management (alert, management of personnel and roles, strategy, shoveling, first aid, practical simulation exercises), rescue reception outdoor (other skiers, professionals and helicopter)
