Summary

During your hike in Parmelan (1830m altitude access on foot only) take advantage of an evening of observation to discover the Moon, the constellations, planets and celestial objects with the naked eye and observe them in a 400mm telescope.
From the Camille Dunant refuge, where you can dine and/or spend the night (if you wish), you will be guided to discover the mysteries of our Universe.

During your hike in Parmelan (1830m altitude access on foot only) take advantage of an evening of observation to discover the Moon, the constellations, planets and celestial objects with the naked eye and observe them in a 400mm telescope. Access to the Parmelan CAF refuge can be done either by the Chappuis chalet, or by the Anglettaz chalet, or by the Blonnière (walking time varies depending on the departure chosen, detail on the hiking sites). The meeting point is set at the Camille Dunant refuge at the top of Parmelan. GPS coordinates: 45°56'46.7"N 6°14'24.2"EAfter sunset, the evening will begin with a reminder of the movements of the Earth and the Moon, followed by an explanation of the operation of the telescope that we will useDuring twilight, we will observe the first visible stars (planets, Moon) depending on the date of the evening. Once the night is well established, we will discover with the naked eye the main constellations of the summer sky thanks to a laser, then we will continue with the observation of several characteristic objects of the deep sky (cluster of stars). #39;stars, nebulae, galaxies...) Each participant will leave with a map of the sky. The number of places is limited to 12 people. Minimum number of people: 6 people.
