Talloires Book Festival (Fête du Livre) is an exceptional literary gathering. On the program: book signings, discussions, conferences, children literature bookshop in the presence of renowned authors and literary journalists.
Founded in 2010 by Jean-Marie Gourio (author of the famous “Brèves de comptoir”) and Marie-Laure Goumet (Prix de la Closerie des Lilas award for the best press attaché 2009), Talloires Book Festival has become a cultural event of national importance.
The aim of this gathering is to bring together and introduce around thirty authors of contemporary French literature. This is an opportunity to showcase writers who are already acclaimed by critics, as well as young rising stars.
Taking place between lake and mountains in the unique and historic setting of Talloires village, the Book Festival is a small and friendly event where exchange and dialogue have pride of place.
During the weekend, the event, completely free and open to all, offers conferences, literary cafes, radio broadcasts and signings.
The magical setting and the limited number of authors facilitates meetings and interaction between the public and these writers. Younger readers are not forgotten, with special workshops designed just for them.
Talloires Book Festival is now a classic event that all book-lovers look forward to every year.
From Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 May 2017.
